Chuck Thompson

Kitchen Manager

 

Chuck Thompson is the Kitchen Manager of the Uptown Shelter.  He started in October 2003 as the Evening Kitchen Manager and part-time Front Desk Supervisor.  He became the kitchen manager in July 2004. Chuck works with the volunteer coordinator to ensure great experiences with the volunteers and the clients.  He makes certain that the clients have a healthy balanced enjoyable meal everyday.

 


Janet Knight

Coordinator of Support Services

 

Janet Knight came to the Shelter in February, 2005 at the suggestion of a friend who volunteered at the Shelter three nights a week.  Her job was to drive the Shelter van 3 mornings a week.  This supplemented her unemployment while she searched for a full time job.  She says, "It didn’t take long for me to realize that this was where I wanted to be."  Janet is now working as a Coordinator of Support Services.
