Our Programs

  • Emergency Services:  To provide emergency shelter and basic services to evaluate and address the immediate needs of homeless men and link them with appropriate resources.
  • Transitional Living Program:  To provide shelter and services to men with monthly income from benefits or stable employment.  The program is structured to help clients recognize and overcome obstacles to independent living.
  • Mental Health Transitional Living Program:  To help men with severe and persistent mental illness to develop and improve life skills necessary for independent living.
  • Substance Abuse Services Transitional Living Program:  To assist men who are diagnosed with chemical dependence or substance abuse, to identify and develop life skills and support systems for independent living
  • Meals Program:  To provide quality meals for our clients, currently between 350 and 400 meals per day
  • Life Enrichment Program:  To create opportunities for our clients to broaden their horizons and enrich their lives through activities ranging from job skills training to art and music appreciation to leisure activities, such as creative writing, chess club and photography.  Most courses are offered as 6-week electives.  Volunteers will be needed to help conduct these enrichment programs.

Opportunities for Our Clients

·         A basic Job Skills class is available to all clients.  Emphasis is placed on job seeking and retention skills.

·         HIV/AIDS and infectious disease education classes offered bi-weekly with emphasis on prevention, testing, and referrals

·         Homerun Express is a motivational program designed to develop positive attitudes, using baseball as a metaphor for teaching.

·         Independent Living Skills classes, Relapse Prevention and Support, and Education Groups are available to clients in the Transitional Living Programs and to some Emergency Services clients by plan.

·         Linkage to various services provided by government agencies and other humanitarian and non-profit organizations

·         Advocacy for our clients

·         Employment Referrals for placement assistance

·         Our clothing closet gives our clients new and donated clothing items.

·         Our Medical and Dental Clinic offers our clients basic medical and dental care.

·         Onsite Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and Dual Diagnosis Services

·         Onsite GED Certification provided by CPCC

·         Our Computer Lab offers basic computer skills training as well as search engines for employment on the World Wide Web.
